BYOB MARSEILLE

B Y O B est itinialement l’acronyme de « bring your own bottle » ou « amène ta bouteille ». Détourné par le net-artiste Rafael Rozendaal, l’expression prend une nouvelle tournure « Bring Your Own Beamer » (« amène ton projecteur ») pour devenir l’intitulé d’une série d’expositions éclairs organisées dans le monde entier. Réunissant des artistes le temps d’une soirée armés de leurs vidéo-projecteurs afin de présenter leurs projets en cours, le rendez-vous BYOB MARSEILLE est désormais pris pour la soirée du Samedi 7 Mai.

A l’initiative de cet évènement présenté à Art-Cade, Marseille, OTTO-Prod avec les artistes Paul Destieu & Luce Moreau, Jérôme Fino, proposent de rassembler une vingtaine d’artistes pour investir l’espace de la Galerie des Grands Bains-Douches de la Plaine et y projeter leurs œuvres avec toute la liberté et la flexibilité que permettent les techniques de projection. L’espace à investir sera ouvert aux artistes invités, mais également à toute personne qui souhaiterait se joindre à l’événement, dans la mesure du possible (nous contacter à byobmarseille@hotmail.fr).

Ces festivités se verront ensuite prolongées dans le voisinage, au rythme d’une soirée musicale Marseille / Manhattan au New Palace (10 Place Jean Jaurès, 13001 Marseille / 23h -> 4h / Entrée libre!)

Bringing together artists for an evening equiped with their video projectors to present their current projects, the BYOB MARSEILLE event is now scheduled for the evening of Saturday, May 7.

On the initiative of OTTO-Prod with Paul Destieu & Luce Moreau, and Jérôme Fino, this event will be presented at Art-Cade in Marseille, bringing together about twenty artists to take over the Galerie des Grands Bains-Douches de la Plaine and project their works with all the freedom and flexibility that projection techniques allow. The space will be open to invited artists, but also to anyone who would like to join the event, as far as possible (contact us at byobmarseille@hotmail.fr).

The festivities will then continue in the neighborhood with a Marseille / Manhattan music night at New Palace (10 Place Jean Jaurès, 13001 Marseille / 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. / Free admission!).
