Umetniškega programa v Sloveniji, od junija 15. do 19. julij. Galerija Hladilnica, Kulturni center PEKARNA in Guestroom Maribor, Vetrinjski Dvor, Maribor, Slovenija.

Z umetnik Luce Moreau in kritik ter esejist Ewen Chardronnet,  in s « carte blanche » v kolektiv La Nebuleuse (La Chasse + Point Invisible + Hess + Yogi Data + Dj Tom Reck + Lico).

Dans le cadre de son programme international de résidence et d’échanges culturels entre la France et la Slovénie, l’équipe d’OTTO-Prod présente la Saison de production artistique WORKING HOLIDAYS 2015 dans la ville de Maribor.

Ce programme de résidence sera ponctué de rencontres publiques comme autant d’opportunités d’explorer les réflexions de l’artiste invitée et ses dernières œuvres.

Par opposition à l’incontestable «ordre naturel des choses», Nature ordonnée propose d’interagir avec une nature à laquelle on aura donné un ordre alternatif ; des gestes qui mettent en lumière la nature fascinante d’organismes et de phénomènes, que l’on tente ici de détourner d’une voie instinctive afin de les amener vers une finalité divergente. Le contexte de la Slovénie, réputée pour sa nature préservée et son engagement écologique, pourra ainsi favoriser les recherches et réalisations de l’artiste et de l’équipe d’OTTO-Prod autour du projet apicole Les Palais. Le critique et auteur Ewen Chardronnet est invité à rejoindre l’équipe à Maribor afin de réunir sous forme d’écrits ses réflexions actuelles autour de la large thématique «Is Universe a simulation?» et celles de l’artiste développées avec Nature Ordonnée.  

La Saison de production artistique WORKING HOLIDAYS 2015 est produite par l’association OTTO-Prod en partenariat avec Guestroom Maribor, avec le Centre culturel Pekarna Magdalenske Mreže, AGD Gustaf et avec le soutien de l’Institut Français de Ljubljana, la Ville de Marseille et la Région SUD.

In the frame of the international artist in residence programme between France and Slovenia, OTTO-Prod presents the Art Production Season WORKING HOLIDAYS 2015 in the city of Maribor.

This ‘artist in residence’ programme will be ponctuated by exhibitions, public presentations, studio visits and concerts as many opportunities to discover the specific art universe and latest productions.

Contrasting with the undisputed and wild « natural order of things », Nature ordonnée (Ordered nature) proposes interactions with natural living systems by experimenting different reflexes. The project focuses on fascinating natural phenomenons, such as bee organisms and eusociety, leading diverse processes towards disrupted results and questioning how instincts could possibly react to human models. Thanks to the slovene context, known for its unspoilt nature and its ecological commitment, the artist will develop the bee project Les Palais with the support of OTTO-Prod.
In this frame of work, the guest essayist and critic Ewen Chardronnet will share and include these experimentations to its current researches «Is Universe a simulation?».

The Art Production Season Working Holidays 2014 is carried out by OTTO-Prod in partnership with Guestroom Maribor, the Cultural Centre Pekarna Magdalenske Mreže, AGD Gustaf and with the support of the French Institute in Ljubljana, the city of Marseille and Région SUD.

OTTO-Prod v okviru mednarodnega programa gostujocih umetnikov med Francijo in Slovenijo predstavlja šesto sezono umetniške produkcije WORKING HOLIDAYS 2015 v Mariboru.

Program gostujocih umetnikov bo zajemal serijo razstav, javnih predstavitev in obiskov ateljejev, ki bodo skupaj omogocili vpogled v umetniške svetove in procese posameznih umetnikov.

V nasprotju z « naravnim redom stvari », kateremu ni možno ugovarjati niti ga obvladati, je namen projekta Urejena narava (Nature ordonnée) odkriti naravo z vsiljenim alternativnim redom vsa ta dejanja osvetljujejo ocarljivo narao pojavov, ki jih bodo umetniki poskusili obvladati in usmeriti v neobicajno smer. Kot država, znana po svoji ohranjeni naravi in zavzemanju za ekologijo, bo Slovenija idealna lokacija  za raziskave in izdelave umetnikov in ekipe OTTO-Prod v zvezi s projektom čebelarski Palace.
Kritik in esejist Ewen Chardronnet se bo pridružil umetnici Luce Moreau v Mariboru zato, da bi prispeval s svojimi zapisi in aktualnim razmišljanjem glede vprašanja « Is Universe a simulation? » in tistih drugih, ki jih bo umetnica sama razvijala v projektu Urejena narava.

Program WORKING HOLIDAYS 2015 je nastal v organizaciji umetniškega kolektiva OTTO-Prod v sodelovanju s Guestroom Maribor in Kulturnim centrom Pekarna Magdalenske Mreže, AGD Gustaf ob podpori Francoskega inštituta v Slovenija, mesta Marseille in Région SUD.

O LUCE MOREAU

Luce Moreau est artiste plasticienne, photographe, vidéaste et commissaire. Ses récentes préoccupations artistiques sortent du champ de la lumière et du spatial pour entamer un projet à long terme faisant se côtoyer l’observation du vivant, les relations inter-espèces, l’utopie communautaire et les nouveaux imaginaires dans un paradigme mondial changeant. Demeurent l’observation sensible de phénomènes naturels, ainsi que l’aspect expérimental de son approche. Différents temps de résidences artistiques en situations exceptionnelles ont donné lieu à des réalisations très spécifiques, permettant à l’artiste d’approfondir ses questionnements plastiques tant par empirisme que par la réflexion et l’observation.

Luce Moreau is a visual artist, photographer, videographer, and curator. Her recent artistic interests have moved beyond the fields of light and space to embark on a long-term project that brings together the observation of living beings, inter-species relationships, communal utopia, and new imaginaries in a changing global paradigm. What remains is the sensitive observation of natural phenomena and the experimental aspect of her approach. Various artistic residencies in exceptional situations have given rise to very specific creations, allowing the artist to deepen her artistic questioning through both empiricism and reflection and observation.

Luce Moreau je vizualna umetnica, fotografka, videografinja in kuratorka. Njeni zadnji umetniški interesi so se razširili preko področij svetlobe in prostora ter se usmerili v dolgoročni projekt, ki združuje opazovanje živih bitij, medvrstne odnose, skupnostno utopijo in nove domišljijske podobe v spreminjajočem se globalnem paradigmu. Ostaja občutljivo opazovanje naravnih pojavov in eksperimentalni vidik njenega pristopa. Različne umetniške rezidence v izjemnih okoliščinah so privedle do zelo specifičnih stvaritev, ki umetnici omogočajo, da poglobi svoje umetniško raziskovanje tako z empirizmom kot z razmišljanjem in opazovanjem.

O EWEN CHARDRONNET

Ewen Chardronnet est artiste intermédia, auteur et commissaire d’exposition. Il a participé depuis le début des années 90 à de nombreuses initiatives artistiques collectives et est intervenu comme essayiste dans de nombreuses publications. Depuis 2000, il multiplie ses activités comme artiste, auteur, curateur, producteur et organisateur de nombreuses productions intermédia, expositions et événements pour des festivals internationaux et des institutions culturelles. Il a dirigé en 2001 le livre « Quitter la Gravité » de l’Association des Astronautes Autonomes (éditions de l’éclat) et reçu en 2003 le Prix Leonardo Nouveaux Horizons. Il a participé à la campagne MIR, Microgravity Interdisciplinary Research, d’artistes en impesanteur à la Cité des Étoiles en 2003 ainsi qu’au premier vol privé Air Zero-G à Bordeaux en 2013. Il est membre du comité de pilotage du Ksevt, le Centre Culturel européen pour les Technologies spatiales.

Ewen Chardronnet is an author, artist and curator. He has been engaged in various collaborative art&research works such as Bureau d’Etudes, Makrolab, Spectral Investigations Collective or World-Information.Org. He published in 2001 « Quitter la Gravité », the french anthology on the Association of Autonomous Astronauts and performed several zero-gravity parabolic flights in this context. He’s also part of the pilot Committee of the Ksevt, the Cultural Center for European Space Technologies (Vitanje, Slovenia).

Ewen Chardronnet je pisec, umetnik in kurator. Kot sodelavec ekipe je bil del mnogih projektov, ki združujejo umetnost in raziskovalno dejavnost, npr. Bureau d’Etudes, Makrolab, Spectral Investigations Collective or World-Information.Org. Leta 2001 je objavil ‘Quitter la Gravité’; francosko antologijo Združenja avtonomnih astronavtov in v okviru projekta izvedel vec performensov v brezgravitacijskem parabolicnem letalu. Je clan ustanovitvenega odbora KSEVTa | Kulturno središce evropskih vesoljskih tehnologij (Vitanje, Slovenija).
